90. Dialogue of Life in Berlin

I can’t stress enough how important it is to go away, meet new people and have new experiences. Being away from home helps you figure out what you want and what you want to do with your life. In the summer of 2009, I went to Berlin to study and although I was there to study cinematic productions, I was also firming up my desire to pursue the priesthood. The experience I gained while studying in Berlin will always be my treasured memories. My Berlin colleagues were from all over the world from different backgrounds and life experiences. We were a group of what are now described as millennials – out to find the mysteries of life. We were fearless as we roamed the city of Berlin, drinking the world’s best beer. My choice to pursue the priesthood would have been a lot more difficult if I had not experienced studying in Berlin.
