Travelling to Poznań, Poland was a day trip that I will never forget. I met up with colleagues from Canada who were also in the study abroad program, and we decided to hop on a train to Poland because it was near to Berlin. The nearest city closest to Berlin was Poznań, which is the home of the National Shrine of Pope John Paul II. I was surprised and happy to be able to see the Shrine first hand. My prayer that day was for guidance in my life decisions as I had already started to seriously discern the vocation to the priesthood. I asked God to provide me the grace and the charisma of the Saint who was ultimately a beautiful and joyful priest. I questioned whether I would be happy if I became a priest and all I could think of was the smile of the Beloved John Paul II, more and more I knew there was a place in my heart for the priesthood.
