One may think of being a priest but forget the work that comes after celebrating the Mass. Growing up as a young adult I was involved with the Church’s role in promoting social justice. It was through the ministries of the Church that I was able to prioritize my time and contribute to the society by helping those most in need. While I was acutely aware that many people are less fortunate than myself, I also hope I can do more to bring about true social justice. Social justice that goes beyond simply providing food and shelter for the homeless and addresses the core problems. Thank you, St. Michael Parish in Waialua, Hawaii (my hometown) for molding me to care for the society, which is the center of the Gospel.
