My early beginnings in Religious life began in my senior year in college. While many of my colleagues were looking for a 4-bedroom apartment big enough to host college parties, I did not go down that route. I was not interested in living the party lifestyle because God had other plans for me. During my last year of college, I entered into a “Come and See” program for the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Saint Augustines Church in Waikiki was the designated place for the postulant program which was a convenient location because it was only about 10 minutes away from the University. This new journey allowed me to pray and learn about the community while I finish my last year at Uni. It was quite an awe-filled year.
