Visiting my grandpa in the Philippines was uplifting and as it turned out to be the last time I would see him alive. It was also important to me as he still remembered me despite the fact that he had not seen me since I was a little child. It was meaningful also because I was able to tell him that I wanted to be a priest and to pray for my vocation. My grandpa passed away one year after my visit. I had the honor to attend the lovely funeral, it was a funeral I will never forget and I still bring up in my theological discussion with my collegiate who seem very intrigued about the funeral rituals in the Philippines.
