Novitiate literally came and gone. Having experienced novitiate was like experiencing the hidden life of Jesus. The ascetic life of novitiate taught me the importance of solitude, silence, and prayer in our world today. Novitiate was a simple and quiet time to be alone with God, and a time to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. My novitiate year was a humbled and privileged experience and rarely has there been a dull moment. Everyday God changes the temperature of the scorching oven called novitiate, and in placing absolute trust in Him, the bread will never burn or be undone.
